Kids.

The apartment is ideal for kids of any age, being on the ground floor there are no concerns about top floor baconys, also there is simple door entry system which we provide a 5 digit code for, so the children can come and go into the Chalet as they please.

We provide a travel cot ideal for babies and small children and a high chair can be arranged.

Childrens favorite room is a large bedroom with 2 sets of chunky Swiss bunk beds, this kids love this room as it contains toys, teddy bears and a TV/DVD player where they can relax and unwind while perhaps playing games or watching a DVD (lots to choose from) while the parents can enjoy quiet drink or prepare a meal?

Les Schtroumpfs day nursery, is very close to the apartment 4/5 minute walk. Children taken from 3 months to 3 years: http://www.lesschtroumpfs.ch/p3.php (next to the Moulin lift) open daily from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Sports Centre, If they have any energy left after skiing, pop across the road to the sports centre for a swim in the heated indoor pool, perhaps while you watch from the Jacuzzi or swim a few lenghts, its so close you could walk over in your swimming costume?

Ice Karting, this is a blast for the whole family, race round the track in go karts on the ice rink, little spikes in the tyres: www.kartingextremeverbier.com located also at the sports centre.

Ice skating, Also at the sports centre, fun for all.

Sledging, We also have in the ski room some sledges for the little ones to use and if they go up to Les Esserts nursery slope, they can ride up on the Magic carpet, while the parents take part or enyoy a drink at the lovely Restaurant along side. However we except no liability for injuries.

Ski Schools, all the ski schools in Verbier are excellent, however we recommend European Snowsport (ES) as they have more mature instructors, mainly English, but all English speaking and small group sizes. www.europeansnowsport.com.

SKI bus and shuttle bus, you won't have to carry your skis and of course the children’s far as the bus stop is to the rear of the apartment 30 meters, this is important in Verbier, because if you have ever visited Verbier before, even being close to the Medran lifts usually means some sort of a long up hill walk to the lifts, so it's stress free. Also new last year was a Direct shuttle service from the Catogne car park, located just in front of the apartment so sit outside on the terrace and wait until it arrives this service takes you quickly and directly to the lifts, no stops on the way, please check availability?

Babysitting, We will always endeavor to help with babysitting requirements, when available, as we have contacts with many of the locals who can help provide trusted and reliable childcare?

NEWS

New lift.

A new lift being built as we speak which will replace the old Mantzenet and La Combe lifts below 1936. It will allow skiers to bypass the Medran area and come up either the La Rouge lift or by bus to Carrefour and then ski across to the new high-speed lift which will take skiers up to the same point as the slow La Combe lift used to. Skiers can then ski down to Ruinettes or the 6 man express chair to Attelas. It is half-built at the moment and we are informed it should be up and running by Christmas, fingers crossed no more log jams at Medran?

Night club, change.

Verbier nightspot Coco Club has been bought by a new group and will be re-launched as a new bar called Public, great new look, make sure you try it out, Prince Harry and James Blunt have?

More flights into Geneva.

Budget airline Jet2 will be launching new routes from Edinburgh and Glasgow this season to key Alpine airports Chambery, Geneva and Salzburg. Prices start from just £29.99

Flights from Glasgow to Geneva will run three times per week and will be ideal for people travelling to Chamonix, Morzine, Avoriaz and Verbier. Flights from Edinburgh will be leaving twice a week for Chambery and Salzburg. Chambery is a gateway airport for the Three Valleys resorts of Val Thorens, Meribel Courchevel and La Tania, as well as the Espace Killy resorts of Tignes and Val d’Isere.

Flights start this December and run through to April, with schedules arranged so that travellers can make the most of their time on the slopes. Ian Doubtfire, Jet2's Managing Director, said: “Friendly flight times are carefully scheduled to get passengers to the resorts and out on the snow the day they arrive. Customers don't need to rush for a seat as they are pre-allocated - we want to make sure any racing is done on the piste and not to get on the aircraft!”
